About Us

Southern Linac was founded in 2009 with the idea of providing low cost repair service on Varian Linear Accelerators that exceeds the OEM uptime guarantee. Initially servicing the Greater New Orleans Area, Southern Linac has since expanded its operation to include the entire Gulf Coast Region and is poised to provide this same high quality and timely service on a National level.

In 2014, Southern Linac opened up its Southern Linac Global Solutions parts and specialty equipment operations. With a history of providing specialized parts and equipment to streamline the service process, Southern Linac has become a much sought after Varian Linear Accelerator service provider.

Clark Bowlsbey

Clark began his career with Varian Medical Systems as a Field Engineer in 1994. In 2002, he moved to the National Tech Support Group and in 2004 he became a Product Support Engineer for the Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) group of Varian. He returned to the local district in 2007 as a System Specialist.

Clark has over twenty years of experience with Linear Accelerators and his broad knowledge base and leadership experience helped form Southern Linac in 2009.

Edward Castle

Ed began his career as a Field Service Engineer with Varian Medical Systems in 2005. From 1995 to 2005, he was the Vice President of Operations for Kiko Foods, Inc. Ed also had a thirteen year career with Entergy Corporation as an electrician at the Nine Mile Point Power Plant. Ed has over nine years of experience with Linear Accelerators and over thirty years experience troubleshooting control systems.
